ME - System Structural


  • Establish instrumentation for device-level high-precision alignment measurement between optical sensors
  • Perform analysis to predict system rigidity/alignment between sensors.
  • Perform validation testing to verify simulation and design performance with respect to sensor alignments, under operating and field conditions
  • Partition and budgeting rigidity to integration mechanicals, sub-systems, and modules
  • Work with ME to define system ME architecture, propose options, and conduct feasibility study for rigidity risks and define POR approach
  • Contribute to ME design, material choice, manufacturing process for the goal of achieving rigidity requirement at system-integration


  • 3-5yrs system level ME experience in both experimental testing and mechanical simulations.
  • Experienced in instrumentation and validation of high precision optical alignments.
  • Experienced with finite element analysis
  • Strong statistics background and strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work in cross-functional environment (e.g., ME, sensor, display, reliability)
  • Broad ME exposure in system design, materials, and processes in system development of optical sensor integration is desirable.
