DevOps Engineer for IoT

What you will be doing
  • Join a team with diverse skill sets to develop and operate end-to-end Industrial IoT solutions
  • Work with industrial infrastructure, including wireless sensors, PLCs, cameras, and edge computing gateways
  • Deploy, scale and automate our industrial IoT and edge computing services across multiple global locations, business lines, and use cases
  • Deliver applications for Linux, Docker, and Azure cloud environments
  • Engineer simple, repetitive deployment processes that increase both velocity and quality
  • Consult with business lines on new IoT opportunities, use cases, and solutions to deliver
  • Collaborate with internal and vendor partners
  • Strengthen the DevOps skillset across the team
  • Travel to international industrial locations occasionally as required (e.g. site visits, design workshops, high-touch incident resolution)

Soft skills
  • Strong IT technical foundation and aptitude for fast learning
  • Interest in industrial environments and IoT solutions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (English)

Technical skills (the more the better)
  • Linux fundamentals and systems engineering skills
  • Strong scripting skills, e.g. Python, Ruby, Perl
  • Docker containers and container orchestration
  • Configuration management software such as Ansible (preferred), Puppet, Salt, Chef
  • Build management and continuous integration tools (such as Jenkins, Travis, GitLab, etc.)
  • Proficient understanding of source mode management/code version control tools (such as Git, GitLab, etc.)
  • OOP programming languages, e.g. Python, Java, C/C++, Go

Cloud developer for IoT

What you will be doing

  • Be responsible for delivering and supporting cloud (and edge) applications to receive, process, present, store, and send data to and from the IoT edge and other industrial and enterprise systems
  • Consult with business lines on new IoT opportunities, use cases, and solutions to deliver

  • Strengthen the DevOps skillset across the team
  • Travel to international industrial locations occasionally as required (e.g. site visits, design workshops, high-touch incident resolution)

  • Database technologies (time series, blob, relational)
  • Presentation layer development using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery and popular SPA frameworks such as AngularJS
  • Strong unit testing and debugging skills
  • Proficient understanding of source mode management/code version control tools (such as Git, GitLab, etc.)

Industrial Network Engineer

What you will be doing:
  • Design, setup, and support industrial network environments, including switches, routers, firewalls, wireless networks, and wireless sensor networks
  • Engage in network connectivity and security related consulting engagements with business lines
  • Perform most tasks remotely but occasional hands-on, local support is expected with international travel

What you should have:
  • Technical expertise and hands-on experience with networking technologies (mainly Cisco) in a production setting
  • Interest in working with industrial technologies and passion about IT/OT convergence. Working experience in Industrial Control System environments is a plus.
  • General IT infrastructure (e.g. storage, hosting, Linux, DevOps tools) support, monitoring, management, and automation (e.g. Netflow, SNMP, syslog, REST API) awareness and interest
  • Systems thinking and willingness to learn new technologies and concepts (Internet of Things, DevOps and open source tools)
  • Good communication skills to translate business requirements to technical solutions, and to articulate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
