Taking into consideration the age and developmental needs of the patient, performs routine patient activities and nurse delegated patient care procedures of a specialized and technical nature during entire transport process. Identifies changes in patient data and notifies nurse, during in-house transports. Sets up and maintains specialized transport clinical equipment. The EMT Transport Technician provides input into the care of the acute patient, anticipates and assists in stabilization, and maintenance of current therapeutic modalities. Functions under the rules, regulations and protocols of Maryland's Emergency Medical Services System as an EMT-Basic, during out-of-hospital patient transport by ambulance, medical campus emergency responses, and during medical standby events
