You will design and build innovative new systems from the ground up and be a part of a group that is technically grounded and experienced. Our goal is to use software to speed up traditionally slow, manual infrastructure tasks, doing in hours what used to take days or weeks. We’re looking for hands-on software engineers with expertise and passion in solving difficult problems in distributed systems, virtualized infrastructure and highly available services, revolutionize how we manage the physical infrastructure underneath this new cloud. You should be both a rock-solid developer and a distributed systems generalist, able to dive deep into any part of the stack and low-level systems, as well as design broad distributed system interactions. You should value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn.
Basic Qualifications:
  • 1 to 4 years’ experience delivering and operating large software systems at scale.
  • BS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • Proficient in at least one (preferably two) of the following languages: Python, Java, C, C++, C#, Ruby, JavaScript, or another object-oriented language
  • Strong grasp of computer science concepts (data structures, algorithms, operating systems, distributed systems fundamentals)
  • Working familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP), and standard network architectures
  • Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
  • Working familiarity with UNIX operating system and related tools
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment

Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will apply basic to intermediate knowledge of software architecture to perform software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.
Duties and tasks are standard with some variation; displays understanding of roles, processes and procedures. Performs moderately complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 1 year of software engineering or related experience.
